The Cougar was developed in partnership with Nicolas Vouilloz who was sponsored by Hutchinson during his 10 World Champion Mountain DH Bike titles. Vouilloz brought his depth of DH tire knowledge to the creation of the Cougar. Specific knob profile, geometry and design combined with Hutchinson's famous Race Riposte compound make it an impeccible tire for serious XC or hardcore DH or Enduro riding. Hangs tough in the corners but it's no slouch in the straights. The Cougar prefers dry rocky conditions, but it can handle some mud as well.
